ONE of the hottest shows around has appointed Focus Media to look after their last minute regional press promotional activity.

Britain & Ireland Next Top Model LIVE, based on the hugely successful Sky Living programme is on at London Excell from October 28 – 30. 

More than 40 newspapers have signed up for the ticket give away promotion with a combined circulation of more than 500,000.

FOCUS MEDIA MARKETING have been appointed to run a series of free ticket promotions in the regional press for this year’s Ideal Home Show.

The show’s owners, Media 10 Ltd were delighted by the work carried out around the 2010 show by Focus Media and as a result have re-appointed the company for this year’s Show.

Phil Merry said, ‘’We’re extremely pleased to be again working on this prestigious show. The free pair of tickets promotion is running throughout England in125 newspapers with a combined circulation of 2.2 million from January 29 – February 5.’’

The Ideal Home Show is the UK’s largest consumer show and is on at London’s Earls Court from March 11 – 27

GRAND DESIGNS LIVE takes place at the NEC, Birmingham from October 8 – 10 and Focus Media Marketing has been appointed to look after the show’s regional press free ticket promotions.

After the collaboration between Focus Media and the Show’s owners Media 10 Ltd for their London show in May, this appointment for the Birmingham show is testament to the strength and knowledge that Focus Media has in the regional newspaper sector.  Phil Merry said, ‘’We’re delighted to be again working with Media 10.  This is the third one of their shows we’ve worked on this year and hope our collaboration will be as successful this time as it has been for the previous two shows.’’

As well as the two Grand Designs Live shows, Focus Media also worked on the Ideal Home Show at London’s Earls Court in March.

The Stars - Destination South AfricaDestination South Africa Trail

THE FIFA World Cup, one of the biggest global sporting events, takes place in South Africa from June 11 – July 11. 

Focus Media Marketing has been appointed by Green Umbrella Publishing -  one of the UK’s fastest growing independent sport and special interest publishers, to handle their regional press summer football DVD activity.

Regional newspapers throughout the UK will be offering their readers the opportunity to claim The Stars – Destination South Africa DVD worth £14.99 for just the cost of postage and packaging.  This 100 minute DVD features the top 100 players who will be gracing the 2010 tournament.

152 UK newspapers from the north of Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and throughout England with a combined circulation of 3.7 million will be running this promotion during May. 

Phil Merry said, ’Focus Media has in depth knowledge of the football market and combined with our regional newspaper expertise this promotion is the perfect combination for us.’

WE are delighted to announce that the owners of the Grand Designs Show, Media 10 Ltd have appointed Focus Media Marketing to run a series of ticket promotions in the regional press for this year’s show.

More than 30 newspapers with a combined circulation of around 900,000 are offering their readers the chance to claim a pair of free tickets to the Channel 4 inspired show.

Phil Merry said, ‘After the success we achieved for Media 10 when we did a similar promotion for the Ideal Home Show, I am very pleased that my company has been appointed to work on the Grand Designs Show.’

The show is on at London Excell from May 1 – 9.

Ideal Promotions For Home Show

Ideal Home Show logo 2010THE new owners of the iconic Ideal Home Show - Media10 Ltd have awarded Focus Media Marketing the contract for regional newspaper promotions for the 2010 Show.

The regional press promotional activity takes the form of complimentary ticket promotions and is featured from February 8 – 13 in approximately 65 newspapers in England and Wales with a combined circulation of around 1.3 million.

Focus Media’s Phil Merry said, ‘We worked on the 2007 and 2008 Shows for the previous owner and I am extremely pleased that the Show’s new owners have
re - appointed my company to look after this side of their business.’

The Show, which runs from March 20 to April 5 at London’s Earls Court was sold to Media10 Ltd in 2009 by the previous owners the Daily Mail.

Focus Media Publishes Town Magazine

Peacehaven Times, Focus Media MarketingPeacehaven Town Council’s quarterly magazine Peacehaven Times is now to be published by Focus Media Marketing. 

The advertisement sales and editorial content of the 12 page publication will, as from the January 2010 edition, come under the control of Focus Media Marketing.

The magazine which carries local stories, details of community events and listings of the town’s groups is delivered free to 5,500 homes in the town.

Phil Merry said, ‘We plan to develop the magazine and make it an essential read for anyone who lives in Peacehaven.  We are very pleased to have been awarded this business especially as I feel during these difficult trading times it is important to have a varied business portfolio. We see Peacehaven Times as the perfect opportunity to diversify but at the same time we are staying within the company’s core strength which is publishing.’

Peacehaven Times is published in January, April, July and October.

Focus Media Marketing is delighted to announce that the sponsor of the England team, Nationwide Building Society has appointed Focus Media to handle their regional newspaper promotions activity for next year’s World Cup finals in South Africa.

Already planned for September, October and December is a series of free poster giveaways. The first, entitled, We’re Going To The World Cup features a picture of the England team prior to their stunning 5-1 victory against Croatia on September 9. The second, to be promoted after their final group game against Belarus on October 14 will be called, How We Got To The World Cup and will feature a montage of pictures from each of the qualifying games.

The final one in the trilogy will be a World Cup Wall Chart which will be available from December 5 onwards, the day after the draw for the finals has been made.
